Rental Rates

£590 per week in low season to £1040 per week in high season for 4.

Changeover day is Friday.

Short breaks are available during low and mid season, with changeover days Mondays or Fridays. 3 nights minimum stay.




Useful Information

  • Please use the parking space to the left of the Hayloft.
  • Linen, towels and hair dryer supplied
  • Wifi, fast fibre broadband, installed in 2022, is available throughout property, except in the courtyard bedroom
  • Heating powered by our bio-mass wood pellet boiler
  • Two large log baskets are supplied free of charge - if more are required, we can supply at £7.50 per basket, or logs can be purchased from local stores in Brampton, Armathwaite or Corby Hill garage.
  • Strictly no smoking in any part of the property
  • One well-behaved dog welcome at no extra cost. However we do not permit pets in the bedrooms nor on the furniture. Please use the shovel provided to clean up after dogs and please don’t allow them in the courtyard.
  • The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven (with ceramic hob), microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, and all the cooking utensils and crockery required for a hassle-free visit. Guests have even done Christmas dinner for 10, with great success!
  • Mobile phone reception is patchy in some areas of the property, but fine outside
  • The utility room has a washing machine and a tumble drier; there is also a drying room with a ‘Sheila-Airer’ pulley system.
  • The property, with the living space up one flight of stairs, is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair use.
  • We are 6 miles from the nearest shops in Brampton, so a car is necessary. However, it is very easy to pre-order your groceries online from Tesco (located at Junction 43 on M6!) and we do offer a taxi to and from Carlisle station, 20 mins away, if all you want to do is relax, eat and walk. £25 extra fee.
  • The tennis court is yours to enjoy, and rackets and balls are supplied, if necessary.
  • We have a help-yourself-to-veg policy when in season.
  • The walled garden, and grassy, wooded area around the tennis court are yours to enjoy, but we ask that you refrain from using the lawn directly in front of Cumrew House.
  • Please advise us of any breakages – we do not take a security bond, so rely on honesty.
  • Arrival is from 4pm.
  • Departure is 10am.
  • Please leave the property as clean and tidy as you found it, stripping the beds and leaving your dirty linen in the bath.
