Directions to Cumrew House from the North and the South
- Exit M6 at Junction 43
- Head for Newcastle on A69
- Turn right after 3.5 miles at traffic lights (signposted Heads Nook) and immediately left (signposted Castle Carrock) and continue for 4 miles
- Turn left at T junction
- After half a mile turn sharp right (signposted Lazonby and Cumrew) and continue for 3 miles along B6413
- Turn left into Cumrew
- Cumrew House is at the far end of the village on LHS (wrought iron letters of house-name on RHS wall of entrance)
- If arriving in daylight, there's a large monkey puzzle tree in the garden; if arriving in the dark, there's a Victorian street lamp on the LHS, just before you reach the entrance.
- The church is just beyond
